How do I become a Private Investigator?
Today’s Blog is on “how do I become a Private Investigator?”
Believe it or not, I get two calls a week from persons who would like to get into this profession.
So how do we become or in some cases fall into this profession?
In my case as I explained in other blogs, I’m ex-Military with a back ground in surveillance and investigations around the world, either Government or Private.
Queensland, you need to be licenced as a Private investigator with Fair Trading QLD.
1. Cert III in Investigations
2. Criminal Background and Character test with Queensland Police.
3. Have your finger prints taken and stored with the Queensland Police.
4. Pay your Licence fee with fair Trading QLD.
5. Join AIMPAC
Let add that up.
1. Approximately $1900-00
2. And 4. $700 for 3 years approximately the $550 after that for 3 years.
3. Public Liability 20Mill $600 to $1000 per year
4. Accountant $3000
5. Lawyer (Pandora’s Box, but when you need them, get a good one).
6. Good Car. $20 to 30 Grand.
7. Better Mechanic….one that does not take forever to do a job. The time your car is off the road time you are not earning. ($3000 to $4000) per year.
Now your good to go.

5. Cyber Investigations.
6. Work Cover Investigations
